Baseball registration begins
West Hill Baseball is starting up again for the 2008 summer season. Registration starts on March 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and continues each Saturday until April 26. The first registration session is located at the Heron Park Community Centre on Manse Road. www.westhillbaseball.com.

Adult recreational soccer
Just for Kicks Soccer Club in Scarborough is offering spring drop-in soccer for adults. The cost is $48 for seven weeks. Starting on March 30 at 1 p.m. at their West Hill location, the program consists of one-hour scrimmages. Call 416-285-5425 for information.

Badminton season in full swing
West Hill Collegiate has a busy week ahead in city boys doubles action. They play at Bendale BTI on April 2 at 3 p.m. and at Albert Campbell on April 4 at 3 p.m. Meanwhile Woburn CI also gets in on the action, playing Bendale BTI at home on April 1 at 3 p.m.

Williams scores winner

Shawn Williams, local native and former Scarborough Saints lacrosse player, scored the overtime winner at the National Lacrosse League’s All-Star game on March 16. Williams, a late addition to the all-star game, scored four goals. He plays for the Rochester Knighthawks.
