Music of All Latitudes Part II
Latin jazz artist Amanda Martinez will play at 7:30 p.m. on April 26 at the University of Toronto Scarborough’s ARC Theatre, 1265 Military Trail. Shakespeare on in Scarborough

Come to smell the orchids
The Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto, 5183 Sheppard Ave. E., is hosting an orchid show on April 19 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., and on April 20 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. More than 10,000 plants are on display. Tickets are $6, but children eight and under are free. Call 416-292-9293.

Classical sounds at cultural centre
The fourth concert in the Cathedral Bluffs Symphony season runs April 20 at 2 p.m. in the P.C. Ho Theatre, 5183 Sheppard Ave. E. The concert features Mozart’s Overture to the Magic Flute, Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5. Adults pay $25, seniors and students $20, and children under 12 are free. Celebrate young Asian talent
An open competition for the next young Asian Canadian Idol takes place from 7-10 p.m. on April 23 at the Chinese Cultural Centre, 5183 Sheppard Ave. E.
