Dontay Williams scored three touchdowns as Senator O’Connor routed Malvern CI, 41-6, on Friday. Senator O’Connor’s junior team beat Malvern CI, 45-0. Both teams are undefeated and lead their respective divisions, with the senior squad 5-0 and the junior team 4-0.
Westview Centennial improved to 5-0 in junior girls basketball with a 34-19 victory Thursday over Earl Haig. Cindy Truong led Westview with a game-high 16 points.
Although Birchmount Park remains the only unbeaten team in the East Region of field hockey, Sir John A. MacDonald’s A squad is tied with them at 5-1 and 21 points. Sir John A. MacDonald won its previous game by a 1-0 margin Thursday over Wexford CI.
William Lyon MacKenzie CI remained in first place in the West Division of the North Region in boys’ volleyball after securing a 2-1 win over CW Jeffreys CI on Friday.
MacKenzie earned the victory by winning the last two sets by the count of 25-17 and 17-10. The school sits a game in front of Westview Centennial SS, which kept pace following a 2-0 (25-13, 25-17) win over Emery CI.
