Increased security at airports and hassles at U.S. border crossings have forced one Greater Toronto Area traveller out of the air, permanently.

Toronto police and road safety workers agree, cellphones, iPods and other personal electronic gadgets are distracting pedestrians to death.

The University of Toronto Scarborough did their part for Haiti this week by hosting a candle light vigil to raise aid money. Dozens of students and professors participated in the event on Tuesday, holding candles and giving memory and prayer to those most affected by the earthquakes.

School will continue as normal, despite the recent arrest of a school teacher, at Joseph Howe Senior Public School, according to the Toronto District School Board.
