There was an overwhelming feeling that we just weren’t ready yet. I’m not writing about a surprise party gone wrong, ill preparations for a business meeting or an unexpected pregnancy. But instead, none other than the Copenhagen climate conference I attended one month ago in Denmark.

Local heart for Haitians

Her phone keeps ringing off the hook. Donations pour into her restaurant daily. She had to rent an empty store beside her just to make room for the donations. Her name is Sheyla Cadet-Walker. She is Haitian and this is Scarborough’s response to the Haiti quake disaster.

U of T Scarborough helps Haiti

The University of Toronto Scarborough did their part for Haiti this week by hosting a candle light vigil to raise aid money. Dozens of students and professors participated in the event on Tuesday, holding candles and giving memory and prayer to those most affected by the earthquakes.
