Markham Road Mac’s robbed at gunpoint

Police are turning to the public for help identifying two men wanted in connection with an armed convenience store robbery.

On Oct. 14 at about 3:40 a.m., two men in disguises entered the Mac’s at 1021 Markham Rd. E., police say. One of the men jumped the counter, hit the 45-year-old employee about the head with a handgun and ordered him to open the cash register, police say.

The employee complied. The two men made off with cash and cigarettes, police say.

The employee was hurt but didn’t need medical attention.

The first suspect is described as male, black, 23 to 26 years old, 5-foot-7, 189 to 200 pounds with a heavy build. The second suspect is described as male, black, 27 to 28 years old, 6-foot, 169 to 180 pounds with a medium build.
