Winning a clear majority, Ward 37 incumbent Michael Thompson is back on council for another four years.
“We see by the results here tonight that this community understands what needs to be done,” Thompson said. “I know almost everyone in this room and it’s very humbling to have their support.”
With over 80 per cent of the votes, Thompson beat challengers Isabelle Champagne, Fawzi Bidawi and Sergio Otoya Salazar.
Congratulations. When Ward 37’s results were posted on CTV, Ken Shaw remarked that Scarborough doesn’t like change. He should have taken a closer look at the number of votes you received and given some thought as to why. Keep visible, keep working hard.
