TTC employee charged after Scarborough altercation

A TTC employee has been charged with assault after an altercation on a Scarborough bus Saturday morning.

The man turned himself in to police after they investigated a complaint from a bus rider who said he was pushed into a pole on the bus, police report.

The complainant, Isaac Gould, told police he was with his 10-year-old son on a packed bus westbound on McCowan Road when a TTC worker boarded the bus at the Malvern bus terminal to argue with the driver about the bus being late and yell at people on the bus to move back, according to police.

He then allegedly pushed Gould into a pole as he made his way to the back.

Frederick Tulk, 59, is to appear in court on March 17.
