A gas shortage in the GTA has some motorists feeling a bit nervous about topping up their tanks.
“I drive to work every day,” said Toronto resident Lindsey Kemp. “I need to make sure that my tank is always full, or at least half full.
“I don’t know what I would do if I was on empty and I went to a gas station that wasn’t able to provide me gas.”
Maintenance delays at a Shell Canada refinery in Sarnia, Ont., reportedly led to the gas shortage, causing some stations in the GTA to run dry.
According to published reports, Shell says the refinery is again producing gasoline and the fuel company is working to get gas to stations.
