Police fear for missing Scarborough woman

Toronto Police are seeking the public’s help to locate a missing Scarborough woman. She has not been seen since Oct. 3 at 6 p.m.

Twenty-six-year-old Sulochana Chimakurthy was last seen in the area of Eglinton Avenue East and Birchmount Road.

Chimakurthy lives alone and is an immigrant from India, where most of her family resides. Police were notified when the IT worker did not show up for her job.

Police sources say she may be depressed and it is feared she may hurt herself.

Chimakurthy is described as 5-foot-3, 143 pounds, with brown eyes and long black hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or police directly.
