Police seeking more information in a bank robbery in Scarborough

Police in 41 Division report a bank robbery at the  CIBC branch located at 1100 Ellesmere Rd. in Scarborough on Nov. 24 at approximately 12:05 p.m.

Police say two male suspects wearing disguises entered the bank with firearms and approached a teller. One of the suspects demanded cash while the second suspect went behind counters to take a quantity of cash from drawers.

The suspects fled the scene heading westbound on Ellesmere Road towards Kennedy Road in a vehicle.

No injuries were sustained.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the two males in connection with the offence.

The first male suspect is described as black, between the ages of 18 and 22, about six feet tall, 169-189 pounds with a medium build. The second male suspect is described as being between the ages of 25 and 35, approximately six feet tall, 189-209 pounds with a medium build and collar length curly black hair.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 41 Division at 416-808-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
