Trampoline teammates bound for London Olympics

Rosannagh MacLennan remembers when she was 10 years old watching Olympian Karen Cockburn train at Skyriders Trampoline Club. At the time, MacLennan said she was too nervous to go and speak with her role model. Now 23, MacLennan trains with the three-time Olympic medalist as they both prepare for the upcoming Summer Olympics in London.

Homer Simpson — yes, that Homer Simpson — was once a member of the Stonecutters, a secret society made up of Springfield residents. Though it happened way back in season six of the show, I can't help but remember the Stonecutters' "We do" chant. As a matter of fact, I sometimes catch myself singing the tune: “Who holds back the electric car? Who makes Steve Guttenberg a star?”

Man robbed of cellphone on Warden and Finch

Police say that a 57-year-old man's cellphone was taken after being approached by two male suspects on Feb. 22. The man was allegedly approached by the two males around the Warden Avenue and Finch Avenue East area at approximately 8:35 p.m., and one of them took the cellphone before both fled the scene.
