Police release video of victim being carried into vehicle

Police released a video on Jan. 28 of Anthony Spencer being carried out by his friends into an awaiting vehicle shortly after being shot.

Police are asking those in the video to come forward and speak to police.

On Jan 21. at 5 a.m., police responded to a call at the Scarborough Hospital where 23-year-old Anthony Spencer of Toronto was dropped off by a group of men and a woman in two separate vehicles.

It was reported that after leaving the victim, who suffered from gunshot wounds, the group of people fled the scene.

The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

On Jan. 22, police located the crime scene at 799 Brimley Rd., which is a recording studio. Police asked for people who were at the scene of the shooting to come forward and speak to investigators.

On Jan. 31, police say they found a security video where three suspects are seen around the same area of the recording studio.

At approximately 4:32 a.m., before the shooting, a woman reportedly calls a cab company. Police say that before the dispatcher speaks to the woman, a single gunshot is heard in the cab company’s recording.

All three suspects then left in the taxi.

On Feb. 9, police released a new security photo of a woman of interest.

Police described the woman as having a light-black complexion, black hair that was in a ponytail, about 5 ft. tall, weighing about 100 lbs. and having a slim build.
