Two suspects flee empty-handed after trying to rob a Scarborough woman

Toronto police are looking for assistance in identifying two men in connection with a purse snatching.

According to police, on March 19, a 28-year-old woman walking in the area of Kennedy Road and Ellesmere Road, was approached by two men. One of the suspects grabbed the victim’s purse. While the suspect searched her purse, the victim got into her vehicle, police said.

The other suspect approached the vehicle and demanded her necklace. Both suspects fled the scene empty-handed, through a plaza nearby, police said.

According to police, no injuries were sustained.

The first suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 25 years old, 5-6 to 5-8 feet tall, 150 to 169 lbs., medium build. The second suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, 5-6 to 5-8 feet tall, medium build.
