A 72-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a female nursing home resident.
Police were called to Wexford Residence Long Term Care facility on Lawrence Avenue East on March 14. When they arrived, they found Jocelyn Dickson, 72, beaten to death. Another woman, 91, was showing obvious signs of injury, police say.
Peter Roy Brooks was charged with aggravated assault and second-degree murder.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact Toronto police or Crime Stoppers.
