Arrest made in drug lab investigation

Police have made an arrest made in connection with a year-long clandestine drug lab investigation.

On Oct. 27, 2012, emergency services personnel responded to a water leak with a strong chemical odour, which led to the discovery of the alleged drug lab in an apartment at 4091 Sheppard Ave. E.

Police say a clandestine drug lab was discovered a year ago In an apartment at 4091 Sheppard Ave. E.

Residents on eight floors of the apartment building were evacuated for more than 24 hours.

Toronto Fire Services and Health Canada assisted in dismantling the drug lab.

Ting Lin, 31, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with mischief endangering life on Oct. 16.

He was set to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Ave. E. on Oct. 17.
