Flu season is approaching fast and the City of Toronto is making sure everyone has the chance to get vaccinated.
Community flu shot clinics are being held across Toronto, including one at the Scarborough Civic Centre.
The Scarborough clinic is open five days in November and three more days between December and January. The city recommends making an appointment for a flu shot since walk-ins may have to wait in line.
Toronto Public Health says everyone should get vaccinated, especially children under 5, pregnant women, people over 65, aboriginal people, and those with chronic health conditions. They also recommend getting vaccinated every year since the influenza virus is constantly changing.
