Man arrested for allegedly failing to tell sexual partner about HIV

Police have charged a man in connection to an aggravated sexual assault investigation in the Kingston Road and McCowan Road area.

Evans Rubara, 39, of Toronto, faces an aggravated sexual assault charge for allegedly failing to tell his sexual partner he is HIV-positive, police say.

Evans Rubara, 39, of Toronto, faces an aggravated sexual assault charge for allegedly failing to tell his sexual partner he is HIV-positive, police say.

Between May 2012 and February of this year, the man allegedly had unprotected sex with a 53-year-old woman while failing to tell her he was HIV positive, police say.

Evans Rubara, 39, of Toronto, was arrested on Nov. 13 and is charged with aggravated sexual assault.

Police say there may be other victims and are urging anyone who has been sexually involved with Rubara to seek medical help.
