Toronto hit with first snow of new winter season

Toronto is seeing it’s first blast of winter after a snowstorm swept over South Eastern Ontario Tuesday night.

And while it wasn’t quite the storm that forecasters feared, commuters in the GTA and those heading south for the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday faced delays yesterday morning due to a couple of centimetres of heavy, wet snow.

Sloppy roads slowed motorists down and three per cent of flights coming in and out of Toronto Pearson Airport were cancelled.

Pearson measured 2 cm of snow, while east of the city, in Scarborough and Ajax, about 10 cm of snow was recorded.
