$190M going to cities for storm recovery

Ontario to pay damages caused by recent ice storm

The Ontario government has announced it will provide cities with $190 million to help pay the costs and damages from last year’s ice storm.

The pre-Christmas ice storm wreaked havoc throughout Ontario, causing requests for financial support throughout the province.

The money is to be split among 32 municipalities, Municipal Affairs Minister Linda Jeffrey said in a press release.
