Suspect sought in East York stabbing

Man considered armed and dangerous, police say

Ricky Gibb, 38, is wanted in stabbing investigation.

Police have identified a suspect in the stabbing of a 52-year-old man in East York.

The suspect allegedly stabbed the man outside of a bar near Coxwell Avenue and Gerrard Street East around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 12.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

Ricky Gibb, 38, of no fixed address, is wanted for aggravated assault, assault with a deadly weapon and weapons dangerous.

Gibb is described as white, 6-foot-1, weighing 170 pounds, and having long brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a red, puffy jacket during the assault.

Police say he is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
