Two women were taken to the hospital, following a shooting in the student centre of York University late Thursday night. One suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and the other was injured by shrapnel.
Police say that the women were not targeted, but were just innocent bystanders who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. The suspect fled the scene on foot, and has still not been arrested.
As Toronto Observer’s Erin Sandel reports, York University says they have taken measures to increase security at the school.
