Arrest made in child porn investigation

Police allege man posted and shared pictures of child abuse

A man faces child pornography charges after police searched a home at Ellesmere and Midland on April.

He has been charged with three counts of possession of child pornography, as well as two counts of accessing child pornography.

Police allege that he is responsible for posting and sharing images depicting child abuse on a social networking site.

The search warrant was procured by the Child Exploitation Section of Toronto’s Sex Crimes unit, a project recently made possible by grants from the Ministry of Community Safety.

Mark Cameron Nikolaidis, 24, was scheduled to appear in court on April 4.
