A man was pronounced dead Monday after being rushed to the hospital from gunshot wounds, police say. He was reportedly shot twice in the chest in the Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue W. area.
Paramedics arrived at the scene just before 6:30 p.m. and found a 21-year old male without any vital signs, according to police.
Police say the man was known to them.
Police have yet to find witnesses, who they say was likely around at the time of the shooting.
“When we arrived on scene, which was almost immediately after this incident, there were numerous people at the bus stop,” Sgt. Brad Fisher is reported to have told media. “I would suspect these people would have observed something.”
Police said they suspect the shooter fled from the scene in a vehicle.
