Police search warrant leads to major bust in Mississauga

Peel Police seized a number of firearms, drugs, cash and body armour in a Mississauga search warrant Tuesday. Peel Regional Police

On Sept. 16, Peel Regional Police seized a number of drugs, firearms, money and body armour during a search warrant at a Mississauga residence.

The investigation took place 1850 Rathburn Rd. E. in the Markland Wood area, where the police confiscated the following items:

  • a Beretta .40 calibre pistol
  • a Norinco Homeland Security 780 sawed off shotgun
  • a Makarov 9mm pistol
  • numerous rounds of ammunition
  • body armour
  • 25 grams of crack cocaine
  • $400 in cash

Ho Wayne Walker, 23, of Mississauga was arrested and charged with numerous firearm and drug offences. He has also been charged with possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order, after violating his lifetime ban.

Walker will be appearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton tomorrow, where he will be held in custody pending a bail hearing.
