Toronto Police make arrests after two men are assaulted and robbed

The six males involved in the armed robbery are to appear in court later this week

Carlton Mckenzie-Lovency, 18, was one of the six arrested for armed robbery.

Six arrests have been made in connection to an armed robbery that occurred in the area of Jones and Dagmar avenues, Toronto Police say.

On September 14, two men were approached by a group of males who demanded all of their personal belongings.

The two men refused. They were then assaulted and robbed. Police say that the suspects fled the area after the incident.

The police have located the group and arrested two men and four youth.

Carlton Mckenzie-Lovency, 18, and Deshante Hussett, 18, have both been charged with robbery with a firearm, using a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

Four boys, ranging from 15-17, were charged with the same offences as the two men. They cannot be identified due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

All of the charged men are scheduled to appear in court on September 15. Police believe there may be more victims.
