Toronto Police make arrest in human trafficking investigation

One man has been arrested, and a second man is wanted in connection to a human trafficking investigation.

On Thursday Oct. 16, the first man, Soloman Houlder, 20, surrendered to police.

Houlder has been charged with 24 offences including trafficking of a person under the age of 18 years, material benefit resulting from trafficking a person and several fire arm related offences.

He appeared in court on Friday.

On Oct. 9, the Sex Crimes Human Trafficking Enforcement Team conducted an investigation in the Keele St. and Denbigh Cres. area.

A day after the investigation, police searched a Toronto home, where two firearms and drugs were found.

Police are still looking for a second man wanted in the investigation, Omar Dewey, 28, of Toronto. They are warning the public not to approach Dewey if seen, but to call 9-1-1, as he is considered armed and dangerous.
