Kitten rescued after being thrown from vehicle on Hwy. 427

Facebook campaign for recovery launched by rescuer

A kitten has been rescued and is recovering at the Toronto Humane society after being thrown out the window of a moving car on Highway 427 on Dec 3.

Mandi Howard, a nurse at Humber River Hospital who rescued the kitten, has started a Facebook campaign to raise money for the hospital bills. Howard told the Toronto Star that the initial goal is to raise $2,000.

The kitten has a broken jaw, split lips, and multiple fractures, according to her Indiegogo campaign page.

Howard said in a Facebook post that extra funds that are raised will go to the Toronto Humane Society.
