Toronto’s TFC football club has been busy over the last month: signing big name players like Jozy Altidore and Sebastian Giovinco. Toronto FC is ramping up for the 2015 season — which begins in March — and attempting to make the playoffs, for the first time in franchise history. But they’re also looking at the longer picture. Toronto FC announced Wednesday Jan. 21, the creation of a new development team, which will be playing out of Vaughan, Ontario. The new club, Toronto FC II, will play in the USL Pro League, with 23 teams who all have ties to other Major League Soccer clubs. Observer TV’s Amil Delic reports.
