Dustin Macbeth, 22, faces five charges related to human trafficking investigation.

A 22-year old Toronto man has been arrested for allegedly forcing a 19-year old woman into the sex trade industry.

Toronto police say their Human Trafficking Enforcement Team started an investigation by Nov. 2 when a 19-year old woman was reportedly taken to a hotel in Sarnia, where she was forced to work as a sex trade worker.

The woman was also forced to hand over a sum of money to a man, police said.

Dustin Macbeth, 22, surrendered himself to the police on Jan. 22.

He is charged with trafficking in person by recruiting, trafficking in person for financial and material benefit, procuring to become a prostitute, exercising control and living on the avails of prostitution.

Police believe there may be more victims, said media relations officer Const. Jenifferjit Sidhu.

Police have released a photograph of Macbeth and are asking anyone who may have been pressured by him to come to the police.
