Arrest made after multiple robberies at 7-Eleven store

Police have arrested a man after two robberies at a 7-Eleven convenience store near Runnymede Road and Dundas Street West.

Police say the first robbery happened on Jan. 16 after 2 a.m. A man covered his face with a scarf and was armed with a butcher knife, police say. He went behind the counter and demanded money. The employee complied and suffered no injuries.

The second robbery occurred on Jan. 23, also after 2 a.m. According to police, the man once again was armed with a knife and demanded money, but this time he uttered a threat to the store employee.  He was given money and then fled.

Ryan Curtis, 23, from Toronto was arrested on Feb. 5 and charged with two counts of armed robbery, disguise with intent, possessing a dangerous weapon and uttering a death threat.
