Police seeking man who fled with cash from cab

Toronto Police are seeking a man responsible for an assault and robbery last Wednesday night.

The robbery took place when a man entered a cab at Pape Station around 10:30 p.m. last Wednesday. The man asked the driver to take him to Greenwood and Chatham avenues. Upon arrival, he assaulted the 61-year-old cab driver, demanding a quantity of cash, say police.

The man reportedly then fled north toward Danforth Avenue with the money in hand.

The man is described as being roughly 25-30 years of age, 6-foot to 6-foot-3, and 200–230 lbs. and having a a clean-shaven face. At the time of the assault, he was seen wearing a dark hooded jacket with a white wool hat.
