The Toronto Observer’s Rida Talpur interviews Gabriel Shiu, manager of the Abilities Centre in Whitby.

The Abilities Centre in Whitby is set to host the judo and boccia events for the 2015 Parapan Am Games.

Completion date:
This venue has been operational since 2012 as a recreation centre. 2015 Parapan Am Games organizers are scheduled to come in at the end of July to make the necessary preparations for the Games.

Use of stadium:
The venue is currently a recreation centre and will remain so after the Games.

Capacity and tickets:
Seven-hundred people can be seated at this venue. Tickets for the 2015 Parapan Am Games went on sale March 23.

55 Gordon St.
Whitby, Ont.

Employment:
Volunteers and anyone working during the Games will be provided by the Games. Regular staff at the venue will have nothing to do with the Games unless they apply to work the event through Games organizers separately.

Getting there:
Anyone who has a ticket to the event will be allowed free public transportation there. The venue is very close to the Whitby GO Station. Parking is also available at the location.
