A look at heritage buildings in Toronto

Historical landmarks in the city are becoming re-purposed through revitalization projects

As a cultural hub of the world, Toronto is home to several heritage buildings that carry enormous historical significance.

In attempts to revitalize the city as it continues to grow, a lot of these buildings have been torn down to make way for condominiums.

Heritage Toronto is currently working to prevent that. They are a non-profit organization that lobbies on behalf of the preservation of heritage buildings in the city. They advocate to ensure that buildings with historical significance are being designated as such and cannot be demolished.
