Police seek three in stabbing

Boy and two girls sought for theft and assault

Police are asking the public for help in identifying two girls and a boy wanted for theft and assault.

The trio allegedly stole a number of items from a business near Yonge and Breadalbane streets before fleeing.

The three assailants were pursued by two store employees who were able to catch them, when an altercation broke out and one of the girls stabbed both employees with a knife, police say.

The first suspect, armed with a knife, is described a as 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7, 155 lbs. girl with a medium build and approximately 15 years old. She was wearing a grey Adidas long-sleeve track top, a black shirt, skirt and shoes, with a purple baseball cap. She was carrying a black backpack and and white pet rat.

The second suspect is described as white, 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-3, between 13 and 15 years old, with a thin build and dark hair. She was wearing a black and white toque, a grey shirt, and black pants and shoes. She was carrying a black and pink Adidas gym bag.

The third suspect is described as a white boy, 5-foot-7, 115 to 120 lbs., with red hair and a thin build. He was wearing a long-sleeve white hoodie with multi-coloured design, red pants, white running shoes and a grey baseball cap with a black rim and a Batman symbol on the front.
