Woofstock comes to Woodbine park

150,000 of our four-legged friends expected to join the weekend party

Woofstock, the largest festival for dogs in North America, is held this weekend at the Woodbine park, Toronto. The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with thousands of people showing up with their lovely four-legged friends.

“It makes me really happy to see these dogs playing around with their new friends,” said Joshua Anderson, who attends the event every year with his five-year-old Welsh Corgi. ” I’m glad there’s this great opportunity for people to enjoy a day off with their dogs.”

Woofstock is a non-stop, two-day party with more than 200 vendors, 200,000 attendees and 150,000 dogs.

This is the 12th year the festival devoted to all things canine has come to Toronto. The event is growing each year so that the organizers had to move the venue from St.Lawrence Market to Woodbine Park last year.

Crusoe and Oakley, the celebrity Dachshunds are also joining the event this year at their VIP hot dog booth.
