Andrew Coyne resigns as comment editor at the National Post

However, Coyne will continue to write columns for the publication

Andrew Coyne announced on Twitter today that he has resigned from his position as editor of editorials and comment at the National Post. This comes after a disagreement with Coyne and Postmedia executives this morning.

The decision came after The National Post decided not to run a column of his, where Coyne dissented from the paper’s support of the Conservative party.

Coyne made full disclosure of the situation in a series of 16 tweets explaining why he had resigned.

Coyne said he will remain at the National Post as a columnist.
