A mother and her 18-month-old child were rushed to hospital after the car they were in hit two other vehicles at high speed and then crashed on Nov. 24 in Scarborough.
The accident occurred near Birchmount Road and Silver Springs Boulevard at about 9:15 p.m., police report.
The child was sent to the Sick’s Kids hospital in critical condition, and the mother went to hospital with a life-threatening condition.
The driver of their car and the drivers and passengers in the other vehicles were not seriously injured, police say.
