Joanne Clayton woke up to quite a scene outside her window the morning of Nov. 30.

The owner and operator of Relish Bar & Grill on Danforth Avenue East, was jarred from sleep by the sound of a loud crash from below.

From her balcony, she found herself with a bird’s eye view of a car that looked like it was trying to turn the Coffee Time into a drive-thru.

The Coffee Time is currently under renovation, and no one was inside the coffee shop when the accident occurred.

Clayton snapped the first photo from her balcony and saw that police had already arrived on the scene. After the crash the occupants fled the scene on foot.
