Toronto Police checked approximately 1,250 cars on Kingston and Danforth roads on Friday with no charges or arrests.

The R.I.D.E. traffic stops happened between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., according to a police press release., They do morning inspections in case someone may still have alcohol in their blood after a night of drinking..

More daytime spot checks will be completed on the week of Dec. 14 to 18.
