Todmorden Mills, located at 67 Pottery Road, is a great way to experience authentic pioneer living. This historical site is running a daily drop-in program dubbed March Mania in the Valley from 12-4 pm over the break. Swing by to enjoy treats, toys, and games from the early 1800’s. Look forward to activities like outdoor nature bingo, arts and crafts, and baking. Parents and child-Picassos can also peruse the free adjacent art gallery. Admission is $7.89 for adults, $4.42 for seniors, and $3.75 for children.

Aside from the books, movies, music, and technology available to pass the time, the Danforth/Coxwell library branch is hosting multiple free events over the course of March break to entertain even the pickiest of children. Based at 1675 Danforth Ave., this central location has you covered. Kicking off the week with a supernatural show by Mysterion, and ending with a race to build the best Lego building, this Toronto Public Library branch has you covered.

One of the hottest March break destinations year after year, the Ontario Science Center does not disappoint with its 2016 offerings. The center, located at 770 Don Mills Rd., is easily accessible via TTC or car. If the latest exhibits surrounding the science behind famous circus acts, acclaimed astronaut Chris Hadfield, or the Ice Age don’t peak your interest, then a trip to their iconic IMAX theatre will. This season you can catch films like Humpback Whales, Under the Sea, Hubble and The Human Body. IMAX theater tickets cost $13 for adults and $9 for seniors and children, whereas general admission is $22, $16, and $13 for adults, seniors, and students respectively.
