Man arrested for multiple arsons

Charged after police investigated fires in Wexford Park area

Police have arrested a man suspected of being involved in a series of arsons in the Wexford Park area.

Police arrived at the scene shortly after a call for a fire in the Pharmacy Drive and Craigton Avenue area was made.

A man was allegedly seen setting fire to two garbage bins at the back end of the building. He fled the scene shortly after and jumped over fences at the back of the building.

Not long after the first call, officers received another call for a fire in the Wexford Park area. A man was seen to have been fleeing that area too.

After officers made a full search of the area, they arrested a man.

Twenty-nine-year-old Justin Krane of Toronto has been charged with arson causing damage to property, possession of incendiary material and possession of restricted and prohibited weapons.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Nov.13.
