Driver goes off Gardiner, survives fall

Man walks away with minor injuries after falling from highway

A man is “the luckiest guy alive” after falling off the Gardiner Expressway early Wednesday morning, police say.

The driver of the car was forced off the highway by a truck shortly after 7 a.m, pushing the car off the rails and landing upside down.

The man was ejected from the car and landed in a pile of dirt under the highway.

Police say they are investigating as the truck did not remain on the scene.
