A sinkhole that unexpectedly appeared beneath a school bus on Tuesday has been filled.

The sinkhole had swallowed the rear of the school bus that was on Symes Road near Hillborn Avenue.

The bus was on its way to pick up children.

The incident occurred 9 a.m and the school bus was hauled out of the sinkhole by 9:18 a.m., Toronto police said.

There were no children on the bus at the time and no injuries were reported.

The road was momentarily closed off last night with yellow caution tape.

City crews had repaired the sinkhole by morning.

Orange traffic cones have sectioned off a part of the road.
