Louis CK surprises fans with additional show

Comedian performs at sold-out Massey Hall on Wednesday, before sold-out show at ACC tonight

Louis CK added a second show at Massey Hall on Wednesday evening.

The performance came on the eve of the comedian’s sold-out show tonight at the Air Canada Centre.

The 49-year-old comedian announced yesterday’s surprise performance through the mailing list on his website. Tickets sold out in a matter of hours.

A lucky second chance

“I feel super lucky,” says Cameron Kok, a 22-year-old fan who drove two hours from London, Ontario to attend the event.

“I tried very hard to get tickets to the (other) show, but missed the boat. This was a very lucky second chance.”

Louis has won six Emmy Awards, including “Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series” for his FX series “Louie”, and two Grammy Awards for Best Comedy Album.

Both Toronto dates were posted without any previous announcements, holding a torch to how loyal his fan base is. They are presently his only listed shows.
