26-year-old shot in leg Saturday, suspected shooter still at large

Police have released photos and surveillance video of a man wanted for a shooting in the Bathurst Street and Wellington Street West area.

A 26-year-old man was shot at twice, the second bullet hitting him in the lower leg, police report.

“The victim has received non-life threatening injuries,” said police media relations officer Const. Craig Brister.

The shooting came after two men were in a verbal confrontation on the Bathurst Street sidewalk early Saturday morning, police say.

Police are seeking a man described as having short dark hair and a chinstrap beard. He has a medium build and is between 25 and 35 years old. He was wearing a black spring jacket, with a white shirt underneath and dark pants.
