Man and woman arrested for running marijuana dispensary out of home

Face eight charges, released after appearing in court Jan. 31

A man and woman have been arrested for selling marijuana in a “sophisticated dispensary-type” operation out of their home, Toronto police say.

Police arrested the duo after entering the home with a search warrant on Jan. 30 around 10 p.m., according to Const. Allyson Douglas-Cook.

They were charged with eight offences each, including possession of a schedule II substance (marijuana), possession of a schedule I substance (oxycodone), and possession of proceeds of crime.

Their offences also included charges for possession of cocaine and psilocybin.

Jennifer Dwarka, 40, and Robin Kemerer, 41,  appeared in court on Jan. 31 at the Old City Hall.

Both were released with court-issued conditions.
