Helen Stavros signed her child up for new computer classes offered at her school and said she expected her child to become the next Bill Gates. Instead the parent and teacher found that the programs failed to live up to their promises.
Scarborough residents were invited to David Smith’s official office opening yesterday. Smith is the public school trustee for Scarborough Centre and now has an office at the Scarborough Civic Centre.
Scarborough kept one familiar face and banished another in the Oct. 25 TDSB trustee elections.
David Smith beat TDSB Ward 19 (Scarborough Centre) incumbent Scott Harrison by 3,289 votes.
David Smith is ahead in the Toronto District School Board Ward 19 (Scarborough Centre) race.
