Smoking on patios might soon be a thing of the past. The Toronto Board of Health recently made recommendations to city council to increase the restrictions of the general city smoking ban to include public spaces such as parks, beaches and patios.
One of Toronto’s top doctors has taken his plan to ban smoking in public places public. His proposition urges city council and the province to ban smoking from many outdoor spaces that includes restaurant and bar patios, beaches, sports fields and entrances to public building.
