Keep the city reading

As Keep Toronto Reading month comes to an end, show your support at Morningside or Malvern library with a donation. A $2 donation will get you an “I keep Toronto reading” button, and a $5 donation will get you a collector’s edition book bag.

Museums and art galleries offer free admission
Sun Life Financial Museum and Arts Passes (M.A.P.) are available at the Malvern and Morningside library. Families with a valid library card can borrow a M.A.P. to gain free admission to 14 venues across the city. Participating museums and galleries include the Royal Ontario Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Bata Shoe Museum.

Just in time for tax season
The Malvern Family Resource Centre is offering free income tax clinics on March 9, 13, and 20. Individuals and families from Malvern are asked to call the centre for more information at 416-281-1376.

Church’s annual spring bazaar
St. Dunstan Church’s craft group will host their annual spring bazaar on March 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring the whole family and shop for crafts, attic treasures, or enjoy baking and a tea room. The church is located at 56 Lawson Rd. For more information, call 416-283-1844.

Give back to the community
West Hill Community Centre has a number of programs that need your help. Training and orientation sessions are held on a regular basis for new volunteers. March break in Malvern
From March 10-14, the Youth Centre at 1312 Neilson Rd. is offering a March Break Camp. To register your child or for more information, please contact the centre’s youth department at 416-281-1376.
