The University of Toronto at Scarborough’s Concert Choir will be performing Charles Gounod’s Faust on Nov. 19. Featured are soloists from Toronto’s Opera by Request and music director William Shookhoff. The performance is at 7 p.m. in the Arts and Administration building, room 303. Admission by donation, with limited seating.

Cantonese opera lessons are being offered by the Chinese Cultural Center of Greater Toronto, Nov. 15 – Jan.3. The eight sessions cost $100. Classes are held from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 a.m. Call 416-292-9293.
